Albert Einstein was the genius of the twentieth century. He was born on March 14, 1879 in Ulm, Germany. Albert was the son of Hermann and Pauline. He also has a sister named Maja. The Einstein family lived in Munich, Germany. He graduated from Aarau and later graduated from Zurich Polytechnic. In 1901, Einstein's wife Mileva, becomes pregnant and Einstein is granted his Swiss citizenship. Later, Mileva and Einstein's daughter Lieserl was born and Einstein began working at the patent office. In 1904, Einstein's son Hans Albert was born. In 1905, it was called the "Miracle Year" because Einstein published five influential scientific papers including ones on the photoelectric effect and special relativity. He is awarded a Ph.D from the University of Zurich. Einstein accepted a professorship at Zurich Polytechnic and became a member of the Prussian Academy of Sciences. In 1919, Einstein got divorced with Mileva and married his cousin Elsa Lowenthal. In 1922, Einstein has been awarded the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics. In 1933, the Nazis seized Einstein's property in Germany so he moved to Princeton, New Jersey. In 1945, the United States used Einstein's equation E=mc2 to create the first atomic bombs and dropped bombs on Japan, ending World War II. Albert Einstein died on April 18, 1955 at a hospital in Princeton, New Jersey, at the age of seventy-six.
